Aside from basic melee strikes and charges, Anathema has 2 unique attacks of note. The fight takes place on 5 separated platforms in the shape of an x (one platform in the center and 4 on each far corner), with jump boosters allowing for travel between each platform. 1 sheild) that occurs halfway into the raid. The miniboss for this takedown is Anathema: a suped-up eridian spectre with 3 health bars (2 armor. Aside from the puzzle mechanics, the raid has a basic linear progression with small enemy encounters dotted throughout and some light platforming involving jump boosters, nothing very groundbreaking in that department. Even on mayhem 3 these eridians will destroy you if you dont deal with them quickly, and considering that crystals don't charge if enemies are around them and that crystals will gradually lose charge if a player isn't around them, these sections can easily become run-killers if not properly managed. These crystals were probably the most frustrating part of the raid for me: while the first crystal door has nothing to contend with while charging the crystals, the proceeding two have infinitely spawning swarms of eridians who will constantly hound you as you try to charge the crystals. The crystal gates, however, are much more of a problem: 3 times during the raid you'll encounter doors locked by multiple giant blue crystals, which you must stand by each one to charge them up and gradually lose their charge if you walk too far away or if an enemy gets too close, and if they lose their charge they explode and down you. The invisible platforms are self explanatory they only appear 3 times throughout the raid as simple jumping puzzles, never being difficult to complete as the platforms cycle between being invisible and visible at a pretty fast speed. Unlike the Maliwan Takedown which was more of a straightforward gauntlet of enemies, this raid incorporates platforming and "Puzzle" elements into the raid: mainly invisible platforms and crystal gates. Next, the general progression of the Takedown. The bright neon highlights on collapsed ruins, the endless expanse of space underneath as you jump from broken pieces of alien debris, the lush alien flora surrounding massive waterfalls: it all blends together beautifully in what I consider to be my favorite location in all of Borderlands 3. The Eridian homeworld was such an underutilized location in bl3, and seeing it's visuals brought back for this takedown was a treat. To start off, I love the presentation of this takedown. Considering how beefy the enemies in this raid are, I would reccomend mayhem 3 for the most balanced experience you can get as of now) (For context I ran through this raid solo on Mayhem 3 as Zane using a Mayhem 10 OPQ with 200% damage increase when my action skill was active, as well as a Yellowcake for a backup weapon.
